Purpose​

Give brief instructions on obtaining, installing, and using Rockwell Aumation Studio 5000 Logix Designer to save uploaded configurations from Allen Bradley PLC's

End-State​

Upload and save PLC Configurations from Allen Bradley PLC's

Requirements​

  • Matching software version to firmware version of PLC's
  • Physical access to Allen Bradley equipment
  • Knowledge of IP scheme for equipment

Considerations​

  • Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 Logix Designer requires a License to obtain, install, and use it's software
  • In order to install software, laptop, or VM on a laptop has to be internet connected
  • Once installed, without internet connection, it will not be able to verify license and will give you a 7-day trial period. -- You are able to navigate around this by setting the date back to the date it was installed and will allow you to use it 'offline' indefinitely
